The monumental wall painting by Koen van den Broek is located at the Vandenhove Center for Architecture and Art in the University Ghent.
Plants, Shadow and Models (Mural), on three walls of the auditorium of the Vandenhove, responds to Henri Matisse's Chapelle du Rosaire. The contrast of blue, yellow, and various colors creates energy. This work embodies a flowing and conversational rhythm that straddles between figurative and abstract.
In conjunction with the opening of the mural painting last month, there is an exhibition on the first floor featuring photos, designs drawings, and sketches, complemented by a collection of old and recent works by Koen van den Broek.
