Gallery Baton is pleased to announce Noémie Goudal participates to Sharjah Biennial 16: to carry. Noémie turns to the techniques of film, photography, sculpture and performance to stage illusionistic scenes that visualise planetary change over millennia. Her work, rooted in ecology and earth science, reflects on deep time as it is reflected in the geological record. In ‘Supra Strata’ (2024), Goudal alludes to the consequences of industrialisation on the planet. The film immerses viewers in the lush vegetation of a forest scene, before revealing the artifice of its imagery.
